Date of Birth: 4th May 1991
Gender: Female

Jess is somewhat kooky, although she prefers a variety of other words like funny, pretty and (god forbid) geeky. She's a whiz with computers and other technology, making her the indispensable centre of activity at the ARC. She's the glue that keeps the team together, almost totally unflappable in case the catastrophe involves either apocalypse or beetles.
Likes:
- Big men with guns.
- Computers
- Shoes
- Chick lit
Dislikes:
- Beetles
- Breaking a heel
- Betrayals of trust
- Computer viruses
Despite Jess's light-hearted facade, underneath she's not so confident, especially romantically. At the moment, she's currently nursing a strong crush on one Captain Hilary Becker.
Hair: Straight and brunette, reasonably long and easy to tie up.
Eye colour: Soft blue eyes.
Play by: Ruth Kearney
Piercings and Tattoos: has her ears pierced once.
Scars and Birthmarks: a tiny scar on her elbow from an accident on a bike when she was very young.
General Appearance: Jess is what you'd call a flamboyant dresser. She likes strong colours and is a big fan of shoes; having a ridiculously large collection.

Full History:
Jessica Emmeline Parker was born to Bryn and Rosalind Parker on the 4th of May 1991. She was their fifth child and her father was determined that she should be their last. She was a relatively normal infant, didn’t wail at her siblings when they had competitions on who could feed her the fastest. As a toddler, she was a little precocious, easily finishing normally engaging games and demanding more challenging ones. Her father was doing his best to teach her how to type on a foam keyboard when her mother fell pregnant yet again. Everyone in the family became very nervous, asides from Jess who had little understanding of what this meant. Her father no longer had time for her, constantly at her mother’s side. Nine months on, Jess’s last and youngest sister was born, a tiny baby called Antoinette. But Rosalind died in childbirth.
It was hard for everyone to come to terms with. Her father was worst. Her eldest siblings nearly as bad. The only two who were reasonably unaffected were Antoinette and Jess. It took time, but eventually the family did recover. Jess joined nursery, where she was hailed as a very gifted child then primary school where she learnt fast and hard. Her eldest brother graduated high school and got a job in marketing. Her eldest sister followed him to the company, working her way up the business ranks. Jess joined high school.
It was obvious to everyone that she was very gifted, particularly with computers, and was tutored every day by various teachers. She began working at her GCSEs at the age of twelve, in addition to her regular classes. She passed them all with flying colours at thirteen, scoring ten A*s, one A (in biology) and one C (in history). At fifteen, she graduated from high school with 4 A*s at A level in Computing, Maths, Further Maths and English Language. She went to Uni alongside her sister Sara and graduated there at eighteen with a degree in Computer Science. In all this time, she had been so focused on studying, exams and papers that she had never even had a boyfriend. Scoring a job in systems at a high-profile fashion magazine, she attempted to catch up.
Her first real boyfriend, a sweet guy called Callum was a co-worker. They enjoyed several lovely dates before Jess eventually realised (to her dismay), that he batted for the other team. Callum was replaced by a series of blokes, from the bartender down her local to the model with the perfectly coiffed hair. But looking after systems, while interesting, was certainly not what she wanted to do with her life. She went on a course to do field coordination and passed with flying colours. Weeks passed until she saw a job advert for the ARC (which had been slipped in her in-tray, for some reason). She went out for it and much to her surprise, she landed the job.
Now Jess works with scientists and dinosaurs. It’s not what she expected, but it’s still amazing and she loves every moment of it.

RP sample:Ginny held her breath as Colin ate the sweet, wondering what surprises the twins had concocted this time for her amusement. She did feel kind of bad about basically using Colin but that was outweighed by her anticipation of the comedic delights that were soon to come. Ginny bit her lip and watched him, waiting…
Then a large ripping sound filled the Hall and the buzz of chatter fell away as it seemed that everyone had turned to look at them in curiosity. Two enormous rainbow wings had sprouted from Colin’s back and there was a moment of stunned silence before the Hall erupted into gales of laughter, Ginny along with them. "Cool, look at this! What was inside that candy?" Colin wanted to know and she hesitated guiltily.
It was something my brothers sent me.”“ Ginny told him quietly, almost inaudibly amongst the volume of the Hall. “It’s just a joke, Colin.” She said defensively, although he didn't seem to be mad at her. Quite the opposite in fact, he seemed gleeful with his new body parts and knowing Colin it was only a matter of time before he worked out how to use them to gain a little bit of… altitude! She had just come to this conclusion when Colin flew right out of his seat and into the air. His skin colour started changing radically, flashing blue, purple, orange… were they polka dots? Wow!
The Hall was a mess. There was fairy dust everywhere and people were grouped together yelling and pointing up at Colin. Ginny couldn’t blame them; it was a spectacle after all! It was even funny, until Colin almost smacking his face on a wall, turning just in time and fell to the floor. It could have been nasty if there weren’t pillows suddenly beneath him, courtesy of McGonagall who was racing towards him, wand outstretched. Ginny, too, was running fast towards him, skidding to a stop before she hit the wall à-la-Colin and fell to her knees beside him.
“Are you okay?” She asked panicky in her worry for him. But before he could answer her McGonagall went on the warpath.
”I want to know who caused this!” She said angrily and Ginny’s heart was in her throat, despite having been in trouble many, many times before. But this was a serious offence and she didn’t want to be suspended or expelled, or worse, put into detention until the end of the year. But a huge wave of relief washed through her when Colin told the professor that he had just picked it up off the floor. She curled into him, putting an arm around his back to straighten him up into a sitting position. The sight of him crumpled on the floor was unpleasant to watch, knowing she had mostly caused it.
“I’ll take him to the hospital wing, Professor?” Ginny asked quietly, ignoring the changing flashes of colour that was Colin’s skin.
